    That makes perfect sense.

I like your solution. LOL A big flame should put him in his place.

Weird thing is he never was aggressive with other fish in my tank. Course I have a big melanurus and a bigger Watanabie angel.

Here's the acans in regular lighting (and my dirty glass in all its glory). I really need to get my larger tank up faster!

ohh man, Im jealous that is incredible for $10 a pop. Im really starting to like acans. Is that the acan I traded with you in front of the feather duster? Im wondering if thats not a bowerbanki.

Yeah, it's the one I traded. If it is a bowerbanki, do I need to separate it from the Lords?

I don't think so, I think most acans get along with each other but it wouldn't hurt to do some checking.

Thanks, will do. When I get my new tank up, my plan is to leave plenty of sandbed space so that I can let these things grow into large colonies. I think they will be stunning as a colony.

No doubt, that rainbow will be a show piece as a colony.

    Hiya,

YOU got the green and gray acan I wanted!!!! Grrrr...you got checked out before I did. I lost two corals a red farve and that one before I was able to check out. SNIFF!!! I want a piece when it grows out.

Getting really anxious to see mine.

That green one was from Reef Fest, if it's the one on the right hand side you are talking about?

But you can still have a piece of it. It's actually starting to grow out I believe.

    Hiya,

It looks exactly like the one I tried to get off Saltcritters. Mine from reef fest doesn't look as green as yours. Probably due to my running T-5's.

They are really green in my tank. I'm running 16K LED's in mine. So that might be the difference. If I understand spectrum right, the higher the K, the better the color, but the slower the growth. I am going to research 20K LED's for the tank I am building. I think I'd rather awesome color, and wouldn't mind the slower growth.

That's a way of thinking that is used with metal halides. When using LEDs you need a variation of diodes. The 16,000k value they use to measure your led is when your white and blue channel are both at the same level you get around a 16000k look. Your probably actually over the 20000k with your blues turned higher than your whites. The 8000k and 4500k on your razor is a good combo win your blues and uv are added.

Did not know that. I probably am using a 20K look since I keep the blues higher at all times. I prefer the blue look, but everybody in my house likes the white look. My tank though. I'll probably go with the maxspect again though, if I can find the right setup for the size.

They've got it now. Have you seen the now 400w razor.

I believe so. Is it around $900? I hadn't looked at the specs yet, but was hoping it'd work on a 6ft long tank that is 30" deep. I figure that will be the most expensive part of this build. At least I hope!

Allen, that war coral is on fire man. One of the brightest I've seen. Thanks for the trade.
