I agree with Shawn, this war coral is my new best favorite.

Awesome glad that you all like it. I can't wait to see how it does in y'all's tanks.

Corey, that Millie is looking awesome in my tank. The polyps are extending great. Do y'all think it will be ok to place near my rose milli, or is that too much milliness in one place?

After leaving Corey's yesterday, I stopped by the Fish Bowl & picked up a large clam & new torch coral. I'll get photos of those up in a bit.

I think you will be fine placing the two mille's near each other. But I would be carefull about letting them touch, it might be fine but you never know.

Every coral I have ever purchased or received from the Fish Bowl has done well. That is where my duncan, blasto and my new war coral came from and they always seem to have really nice corals there.

Thanks Cory. I'll post a photo of the placement later. In this tank, I am really just observing how a lot of sps grow, and their behavior. I plan on taking the best of these frags, and putting them in my new tank. I am pretty sure that both mille's will end up in the new tank.

Here's a couple shots of some of the corals I picked up yesterday. I'll try to post some photos of the Sunny D's and the acro nana a little later.

This is the millie that I got from Corey yesterday. I placed it in the same area as my Rose mille. I really like these.

This is one of the $2.95 frags that I picked up a few weeks ago. It's starting to color up nicely. I have no idea what it is, but I think it has some potential.

This is the torch that I got from the Fish Bowl yesterday. I'm hoping that this isn't as "stringy" as my neon green torch.

And I posted this in another thread, but this is the clam I got yesterday.

So I purchased the Tunze Nano Wavebox from Shawn, and got it in my tank tonight. I think I am going to like it. I'll try to post a video of everything this weekend. I'm going to observe the corals, and see how they all respond to the new flow in the tank. But I didn't see any close up after I turned on the wave maker, so maybe that is a good sign.

Here's a quick video of the motion that the wave box is causing in my tank. I really like it!

    Hiya,

Wave kewl! So, this wave maker changes how hard and the direction it pushes the water or just how hard? How's that claim doing?

Corey can explain it better than me. But basically the pump turns off, fills the box with water, and then the pump turns on and pushes the water out. You can set the frequency, but I don't set it up too high. My tank is too small really, & I don't want to blast the side of it out lol.

Yes but if you'll notice it's not just off and on, it starts soft and the speed ramps up till the end of the push. Pretty cool

    Hiya,

Gotcha. Makes sense since his tank was so much bigger then yours.

This has not been a good week for my tank. We have had some pretty bad weather, and the electricity was out at my house for 36 hours. I did purchase a generator this past winter, but it was still in the box, and I didn't know how to even get it set up. Entergy kept saying that the power would be on in a few hours, and I didn't have time to mess with setting up the generator due to my crazy work schedule this past week. My brother in law did eventually get the generator set up for me, like 2 hours before the power came back on, so at least now I know this shouldn't happen again. Most of my corals are fine, but I have lost several SPS, including the frag we got at the last meeting, which was looking really good. :( All of my milli's seem to be ok, except one, which I've fragged into several pieces to try and save. As long as those are ok, then I'm not too upset. I'm trying to look at this situation as a way to make more room for even newer corals, and not get to upset over it. But it still kinda sucks!

Video of the Goniopora that I got yesterday. It's about the size of a softball. I hope that I can keep it alive! It's beautiful.

Here's the Psammocora that I picked up at today's meeting at the Fish Tank. It looked orange at the store, but it's orange, blue, & green in my tank. I'm really excited about this one, and hope that it does well in my tank.

Update on my clam tonight. I've had it since April I believe. But I think it seems to be doing alright in my tank. (I hate to post that, b/c it could die tonight I guess). But I really like the colors in it.

That clam is beautiful wish I had the guts to try a clam dont think the tanks old enough yet only 2 and a half years. Your tank itself is amazing as well!

This is my first tank-- I started it like December 2012, so my tank is younger than yours. As long as you have the light, I would go for it. I'd just go for one that is several inches in size, most of the research I have done have said they are more hardy than the baby ones.

Gotcha gotcha i always drool at people's clams but always hear that you need a well aged tank. Also would need to find some room im sure my sand shifting starfish would hate yet another obstacle to move around
