I was looking at photos of last December when I first started the tank, and it has really changed! This is the tank last December when I first got it: And this is a shot of the tank this morning, 10 months later:
Here's a couple of frags that I picked up at the meeting today. I got several more, but I am waiting on them to adjust to my tank still. I'll post photos when they do. But it was great meeting everybody today! Torch: Bird of Paradise: Neon Green Birdsnest: Stunner Chalice:

I will post photos of the frags from the workshop after they adjust to my tank. But I bought these 2 corals after the meeting at the Fish Bowl today. The brain coral has really colored up after putting it in my tank. I only could see the red at the store. But the edges are blue, and there is some green in the center. I am really happy with this one! I also got this Red War coral. The photo does not do it justice. It is really red. I dunno much about this coral. I'm going to try and watch it after the lights go out and observe it. Also going to watch the corals that I got from the workshop tonight just to make sure I've spaced everything ok. I have also decided that I am going to upgrade to a tank over 100 gallons, hopefully this Spring!
After yesterday's frag workshop, I got brave and decided to frag my green leather toadstool & Ora pumping Xenia. I know soft corals are easier to frag, but this was my first experience. Hoping everything goes right. But I was able to get six frags off the toadstool. Just trying to increase the chances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When I purchased my RBTA, the tentacles were pretty stringy. But now it seems like the new tentacles are taking on a bubble shape. (Not sure if you can tell by this photo, but there are several). I'm hoping that it is going to a more bubble look. The torch that I added has that stringy look, so I think bubble tentacles would make the tank look more varied. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks Greg. Mine is pretty moody lol. I also got that rack in today you recommended. I really like it. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got some new acans, zoas, and a duncan frag in today. I'm waiting for them to adjust to the tank, and I'll take some photos. But I did snap this iPhone photo of the brain coral that I picked up at the Fish Bowl during Reef Fest. I am really glad that I did! Can't get any photos to work. The taptalk app makes the photos lose quality, so I don't want to post that method.
I am kinda proud of this photo. I am new to SPS keeping. I picked this Birds of Paradise frag from Greg at the October meeting. I kept thinking that it was showing some growth, but didn't realize how much, until I compared it to an old photo. It might be pretty common for these things to grow like this, but I still thought it was pretty awesome.
Here's a couple more photos, I got some new corals yesterday, and wanted to post some photos. The zoas that I got still haven't opened. :\ But here's everything else: These are the acan lords that I got. Not sure what the one on the left is called. The next one is "Black Hole" or "Black Hole Sun." The next one is "Larry Bird." And the 4th is the one from the frag workshop. This is the neon green stem Duncan that I got. I've been wanting one for awhile. Pretty happy with it! Was trying to get a shot above the acans, but thought the zoas and mushroom looked nice. This is the red brain coral that I picked up at the Fish Bowl at the last meeting. It has really colored up nice under my lights. I am also thinking about bringing the green brain coral for the auction at the next meeting. Wasn't sure what people would really be interested in. But it is pretty large and the color really pops.
It's a Red War coral. I also picked it up at the Fish Bowl the last meeting. And thanks on thanks on the Ric's! I'm trying to decide if I want to cover that rock entirely with a ricordea garden or not. I'm thinking so. My settings on my Razor: 1) 7:00 A: 0% B: 1% 2) 9:00 A: 37% B: 60% 3) 10:00 A: 78% B: 90% 4) 16:30 A: 60% B: 77% 5) 19:30 A: 0% B: 67% 6) 23:30 A: 0% B: 0%
Tried to get a better photo of the acan lords tonight. Ignore the dirty glass. Tomorrow is tank maintenance day.
