I am still getting together all of my equipment to set up my tank, so I don't have a set up just yet. Mostly just reading up as much as I can and learning all i can before I take the dive. It is teaching me patience however, so no complaints.
I have gotten all of my hardware together and i am now looking at the insides. I know what size sand bed I want so i don't need to know how much sand I need. But, I was wanting to know some good suggestions for sand to go in my tank. I know bagged "Live" sand doesn't mean anything, but if it has any benefit at all i haven't ruled it out. I plan on getting a cup full of sand from an established system to put into my tank to seed the sand. I am starting out with about 90% dry rock purchased from BRS and am going to seed the other 10% with LR from a LFS.  But, I am ordering a lot of my stuff online as I get the $$$ and also because down here in Pine Bluff the only pet store that sells saltwater is not the best looking stuff so I don't know how much I trust them. Nice people, but their tanks (few) scare me.
Back to my question however, what are some good places online to purchase sand and what type of sand is good. I am doing a FOWLR so not worried about corals. I am stuck on the grade. i want a smaller grade, but dont want a sandstorm. I also dont want my sand to look like gravel. So, I am not sure what size to get. I found some carib sea special reef grade but not sure of the size of that. On the Drs Foster and Smith website it looks like rocks, but on the caribSea website it just looks like sand. I won't be ordering the sand until I get ready to set up the tank. But, I like to have my budget together and know exactly what i am going to get. So, any suggestions would be fantastic. As always, thank you all for your help.

Marco Rocks sells good sand, it is probably a little fine for your tastes, but if you will be at the October RRMAS meeting I can bring some for you to take a look at.

Not sure of the size of your tank, but 160 lbs of it is only $109 and that includes shipping. If you don't need that much, they also have 40 lb boxes for $30 shipped.

If you haven't purchsed your base rock yet, reefcleaners.org is a good place for rock. It is very nice and the best price I've found.

    Anyway, just my two cents.
