Tempered or not......

    After talking to Kevin the other day, he got me to thinking about drilling my tank. My question is.... Is there a good way of tell whether or not my tank is tempered glass? If so, details please.

    90% of all tanks have tempered bottoms if they are glass... The sides are usually not...

    that might be true but I have drilled 3 tanks now and have not found one to be tempered yet and I drilled in the bottom.If you dont know the manufactrure You can look through polorized sun glasses and tell if there is stipes it is if it dont its not. most Tempered glass tanks are thinner also if it is real thick it probably is not tempered.
