i have an extra powerhead that was in my main tank , took it out because i had so much flow it was keeping my leathers closed. my ? is, if i put it in my sump will it help put more oxygen in the water? 75 gal reef 20 gal sump , 150 lbs live rock.

Do you have a refugium in your sump....what is the layout? Someone with more experience could verify, but i couldn't see how it would hurt. It looks like to me it would at least keep you from having any dead spots in your sump and we all know that flow is a very good thing.

my sump is a wet - dry but i don't use bioballs. what i did was i use a filter pad and pond matrix , my heater is on thje bottom. on the return side is my pump, skimmer and auto fill.

Sounds like your sump is plenty oxygenated, I would save it for a backup, not really needed if the flow is good.
