Bought this from a fellow reefer and never having one before have no clue how to set it up. My tank is not drillable. It's a 50 gal cheapie. Can someone tell me what I need and how to plumb it? Thanks so much. Terrie Hawkins
It's an Aqua C skimmer. It's a good simple skimmer. Do you have the manual for it? It will tell you what pump you need. I take it you don't have a sump on your tank? If not you will need to set the pump in the aquarium and have a shelf to set the skimmer on near rhe surface of the tank. It will take some rigging to make it work since the skimmer is designed to go in a sump but could work. I'm in Benton & will be glad to help try to get it working.
I've seen this particular skimmer used as a HOB skimmer before, I'll see if I can dig up the picture.
I don't have the manual. And need to get a sump up and going. I have looked at aqua C's website and cannot find this particular model. I do however have several pumps. Terrie Hawkins
