I have a purple tang and a maroon gold strip clown lawnmower blenny. Xeina, cabbage, a few zoas, and a Duncan (the duncan was moved from my 45) I have a wild mix of clean up crew i added after the first month for the green algae on the rocks from the previous set up. CUC consist of several blue leg and red leg hermits, astrea snails, turbo snails, 2 narssis snails, 1 huge Hermit (size of a base ball)- I think it is a sand sifter b/c it hasn't bothered anything else. 2 arrow crabs, 2 emerald crabs, 2 peppermint shrimp, and 1 sally light foot. I had a cleaner shrimp, but i think one of the arrows ate it?? The arrows are mainly to control the bristle worm population... lots of them some of them 6- 12 inches in lenth. I would like to get rid of the arrows soon, that way I can start stocking some smaller reef fish.

Water is 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, trace nitrate, CA 450

Here are a few things I would like to slowly add:

Several more Peppermint shrimp and a few cleaners too

    Blue green chromis- how many?

    Shrimp Goby pair-

Queen conch for sand clean up

Dwarf angel- not sure which kind- something reef safe?

    Clam

    Mandrin

Misc corals, no leathers other than the cabbage

Is that too many for the tank? Any advice on getting a good plan together would be very appreciated.

    Thanks!

your stocking is low for now so thats good, but having two of the most aggressive reef safe fish already established could be a factor.

make sure you get the blue green chromis and not the green when you do buy some. i would go with 7-8 for dispersion.

as far as a reef safe angel, there is non but several have had success with flames and coral beauty's. if you want to venture away from the norm look into bellus or potters. they both are good candidates for a reef but get alittle bigger. your tank can handle either of the two.

if it were me i would add the chromis and then the angel last and be prepared for a backup plan incase the purple doesnt like the new guy. th emanderin would be my last addition so the pod poulation would have time to establish well. everything else looks good to me.

You well need a really good pod population for a mandarin to survive, and don't add anything in the future that well eat them all, like wrasses. I would watch the hermits, if they get very big they well start killing snails. Like Jason says the purple is not going to welcome newbies.

    chromis

I know every website says to keep the chromis in big swarms, but they'll do ok if there are other dither fish. I have one in my tank that floats with a canary blenny, clown, and scotti chromis all day long.
