Well i have decided to get a 40 gallon reef aqaurium instead of a 36 gallon. I would like to know if 2 400 gph hydor koralias would be enough flow for corals like blue acropora and other acroporas.[IMG]

it all depends on rockscape and placement of corals i had a 29 with one and it worked fine for me you can allways add bigger if it doesnt work out most things to do with saltwater is personal preffrence (trial and error)

I doubt 800gph is enough for acropora, especially as they start to grow.

I'm setting up a 40B frag tank now, and am planning on having around 4500gph through it.  It will have no rock in the tank, and house 95% SPS.

For a 40B with rock and SPS dominate, I'd shoot for around 4-5000gph.  If you are only going to have a few pieces, then 2500-3000 will be enough, as long as you place them properly.

    Good luck!
