Thank you @NatalieMadison I am going to create a thread about yesterdays club coral. I am interested to see what all we got, whose opened and whose didn't open. I am frag sitting and my frag opened but his hasn't. It looks like he has some dead polyps on it. That wouldn't surprise me though. Those things went from Vietnam to LA, Miami, a store in Miami, and finally my house, in a matter of a few days. Each time being repackaged. That is a lot of stress for anything
It seems to be that my test is close to doc's so I guess I just need some of the BRS mag mix to raise it significantly. Doc, hope your dad is recovering well! Natalie, the coral hasn't come out to play yet and had receeded a bit but today looks a lot better! Seems to be less pissed off and all of its little mouths popped up when I put some reef roids in. I'm still waiting to see it all open but I'm sure it will just take time.
Plop those reef roids in and then come back at about midnight. They like those late night hours. Oh...and the seem to prefer a medium to high flow. And mine opened up the most when I had them zip tied on their side versus flat.
Interesting. I'd say they are in moderate flow. I'll try feeding them again here in a little bit. They were good and puffed up today but still not open.
They have finally opened up for me! I put some frozen callanus in earlier and left the pumps off for a while, so maybe that did the trick! I hit em with reef roids too for good measure. Went back to check and they were all open! I've lost the one head and looks like about half of another but that seems to be the only casualty and it looks to be on the mend.
