Getting some pics in from some of the guys at MACNA this year. If any body that's their wants to post more please do. Sent from uh......
a look down tank with look down fish It tasted like chocolate to me Look close or you'll miss the horses more cupcakes
BTW, I don't think Greg is here or he's avoiding me . I did run in to Duane this morning. They have jellyfish tanks!
Duane won a AI Hydra LED light. Greg won a media reactor. I won $50 gift card to Salty Supply. It's only Saturday. One of us is coming home with the $18k tank set up being raffled tomorrow.
Thought I'd add some photos to wrap my MACNA posts. Greg did win a nice RO/DI system on the last raffle day. Here's the Tank'd tank which a guy from California won. I think it was valued at $25k. It will be featured on a future episode. These are the new Hagen Fluval AIO tanks which should be in the US in the next 2 months. One of the interesting things I like about these tanks is the frosted glass around the rim. I like my rimless nano but the rim is never clear after the tank is set up, the frosting helps to keep a nice sharp looking tank. They also have a spigot in the back of the tank for water changes which is cool. These are the new Innovative Marine shallow reef tanks, come with everything but lights. Hope we get a good contingent to go next year. It's really a ton of fun. You get see all the cutting edge stuff in the reefing world. Hang out with people who are like-minded. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Greg and Duane while down here, too. I'm already looking forward to next year.
Thanks for the great pics. Sounds like you guys had a great time. Want to hear some details at the next meeting. The frosted tank looks cool. I wonder if it will help keep the temp down on hot days !!!
Man that Fluval rimless is beautiful. I would love one of those. Thanks for the pics, glad you guys had a good time.
Hiya, Yeah...the bubble coral is nice. Though, I can't get used to the new purple rock. It just looks to fake to me. Kim/Benton, AR
I agree completely.....and it is fake. The dry rock in my tank (started with 100 lbs dry/60lbs live) looks more natural than that stuff.
I like it, it doesn't take nearly as long to "look natural" as dry rock or even base rock. And it's manufactured rather than harvested. Sent from uh......
