He guys I just got my results back from aquarium water testing and my boron was extremely low. My phosphates and silicates were a little high but I am familiar with solving those problems. Do you guys know of anyway to get the boron back within range? It was at 0.3.

  2. Here an article related... if it helps... I have never tested for it... at reef fest they did refer to a supplement with it... but I forget the exact product, maybe someone else will remember & post back...

The product that Lindsey from seachem talked about is called eight.four. Borate is a type of boron that is the solution to help with raising carbonate alkalinity.

http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=102605 Scroll down the page, there is 3 articles on it, 2 on test kits and one one the element itself. I have never tested for it myself and haven't heard of it being tested for by many. I would be very cautious of dosing it as Randy suggest. Pay particular attention to the first paragraph. I think I am just going to do water changes and have them test my levels again later. My alk and ph are great so I do not want to risk anything. On a more funny note, I had a bubble tip split a few weeks ago and have not been able to find it. I figured it was towards the back of my aquarium where I could not see it. This morning when I woke up to my suprise it was in my sump. Don't ask me how i made it through the overflow but it did. I gave me a good laugh.
