It has been almost a year since I stopped adding any chemicals to my tank other than calcium and am very pleased with how my tanks are doing. It took several years of listening to lectures at MACNA conferences to stop doing my dilutions and drips - which were a bit of a headache. I have also enjoyed not having to purchase chemicals that are quite expensive and I was never convinced that I was getting what was on the label. It kind of reminds me of the nutritional supplement industry. If you dose your tanks you might think about experimenting with discontinuing and see how things fair.
