First I know not everyone uses Carbon, GFO, Chemipure Elite; so never is not the response I am looking for: I change out my Chemilpure Elite on my 28 gallon nana, the carbon/GFO in my 120 and 125 every quarter. Just did it this morning, so my question is how often does this need to be changed? is quartely often enough?

We just started using Chemipure elite at beginning of year. All our tanks are nanos, coral and inverts only atm. We feed our corals once a week(heavy feed) and do 50%+ water change the next day. From everything I have read it can last between 4-6 months. I haven't changed mine out yet, but after 5 months I can tell its lost its "polish" so I will be changing mine out here within next month.

Based on what I am seeing in our tanks, I will probably change ours out every 4/5 months. Again this is just my observations on how things work in our tanks.

I use 2 medium sized bags of CPE in my RSM and I alternate changing them out every 3 months. That means that one bag stays in the tank for 6 months.
