HEY GUYS, I just started a new reef tank about a month ago, 70 gal custom built tank,used half live rock and half white non cured rock from NSA, the reading are all within range. The live rock is looking dark brown and the sand is turning brown,skimmer is pulling out greenish water and trash. WHATS UP WITH THIS need your help
welcome to cycling! ur skimmer will always bring out the disloved organics; however, even though ur parameters may look fine... its a little too early to tell, they might be fluctuating!lol

Seriously... no kidding... empty the tank and start over with RO water. I'll give you 20 Gallons of water.
Donut is right , just start over now don't wait I will also donate 25 gallons to get you started on the right track I did the same thing when I started my tank, wish I had never done that. Good luck.
hey i really think you two wanting to help me out ,need to figure out when and where i can to meet and pick up the water ,the only thing is i dont have anything to put it in, didnt think there was anyone out there to help like this did not expect it. THANKS
well my problem is fixing to go away just ordered a RO/RI 4 STAGE WATER FILTER,gonna try that to see what happens with a water change ,thanks for the offer of RO water, figured that i have this much in it might as well go all the way,man its more expensive these days than 12 years ago , wish me luck and thanks again

no not a member yet ,still need to call chris to get more info on it .Would like to go to meeting but have to go out of town Thursday.
