I'm trying to think of another fish I want for my 75gal and I need some input, I'm thinking of a butterfly fish or maybe a different tang, I just added a kole tang this past week so I've got time before I get another to figure out what's best. What do y'all think?

    Hiya,

Not many reef safe butterfly fish out there. If you try for another tang, try one with a different body shape then the one you currently have.

Darn. I have a kole tang at the moment so I think all the tangs I'd be able to get would resemble it. I'm thinking a rabbitfish maybe

Well a foxface atleast. idk I want another big fish or something else to grab attention my son already loves looking at the tank, and I think if I get another bigger fish it'll be my last one, if I go smaller I was thinking some wrasses or something like that but I have a Mandarin so I'm trying to stay away from another heavy pod eatrr

Another large fish, especially an algae grazer wouldn't be something I would do in a tank that size. There are lot's of wrasses that are not a threat to your pod population. Cirrhilabrus, Paracheilinus species are no problem with a mandarin. You want to avoid Halichoeres, Macropharyngodon and Anampses species ....these are the pod demolition wrasses

Any good wrasses up your way? I'm thinking about making a trip to the fish bowl today and see what they have. I'll probly stop at the fish tank on the way up

I was afraid of that with the tang. Some people say they will be fine but I don't want to put anything in that will stress out the current stock. So out of live aquaria reef safe wrasses all them are good right?

    Hiya,

Doc is the expert of wrasses in this group. He's got some gorgeous ones!!! Grin...though, it would probably help if he used common names and not scientific names. You might want to call the Fish Tank and ask what wrasses they have in. The staff is very knowledgeable and can help you out with that.

Lol not an expert just a wrasse nut. Any fairy wrasse or flasher wrasse would work. If you do more than one you do have to be a little careful with which ones you mix.
