As of yesterday we have a contract on our house. We are scheduled to close on Aug 31 and unless something changes there really won't be any way to move the tank. My plan is to set up a smaller tank and keep a few of my favorite corals and fish till I can set up the big tank again.

So.....I'll be rehomeing a lot of fish, coral and live rock in the next few weeks. Not sure what corals will be available but the following is a list of fish that will be available. All have been in my tank for 1-3 years, have been quarantined and treated preventively for Ich.

    5.5" Yellow Flanked Fairy wrasse
    5" Pink Margin Fairy wrasse
    5.5" Yellow Coris wrasse
Bonded pair of black and white ocellaris clowns 3.5 years old.
    Randall's Goby/pistol shrimp pair
    Juvie Atlantic Blue Tang
    Azure Damsel
    magnifica Firefish

    Ok
Clowns, yellow wrasse, tang and Royal Grammy spoken for. Really need homes for the other two wrasse. I'll try to post pis of them if Peruvian WiFi allows.

Edit: I don't have access to all of my pictures now but will post a pic of the yellow flanked when I get back. You can find a pic of what he looks like on Live Aquaria under reef safe wrasses, yellow flanked fairy wrasse.

Unless someone else wants it I would also take the pink margin wrasse.

I forgot to mention the two fairy wrasse are jumpers so you will need some type of cover for your tank. I can actually help you make one if you like. He's yours if you still want him mhattenhauer.

I'll take him then. Would egg crate work as a top? The only place open on my tank is the back. It has a canopy over the tank.

    Hiya,

    Congrats on the contract!!!

Will your fairy wrasse be okay in 29 gallon for now? I'd love to house them until you're ready to have them back. I'd also love the goby pistol pair.

mhattenhauer, egg crate is probably not the best. This fish is big enough he wouldn't be able to get through it but most wrasse can believe it or not. Egg crate also diffuses light and will alter how much light gets to your coral....non factor with a FOWLR. It's hard edges also could injure the fish when they jump against it, and most wrasse will at some point. I used a plastic netting on a window screen frame you can get at Lowes or Home Depot.

Kim the yellow flank would probably not fare well in a 29. He's a big active fish. The Goby/shrimp pair are yours. Ill holler at you and come get the fish trap. The clowns, tang and pink margin will be easy so anytime you can come mhattenhauer we can catch them. The yellow wrasse may be a little harder but shouldn't be too tough. The Gramma and goby will probably have to be caught at breakdown of the tank which is still a few weeks away. Might get lucky on the Gramma.

Thanks John and Aaron! I don't expect you guys to baby sit. Just give me a frag down the road when I'm ready for one.

Some I know that will need homes are: a 5-6" rock with a couple of different zoas, a rock with a large Sunset Monti colony, a rock with a yellow pocillipora , rock with the cut back chillipepper Monti and a small cyphastrea colony, and a rock with Corey's purple acro on it. There will also be a rock with a little bit of Jedi Mind Trick Monti that has encrusted on it....I'm going to try and pry the main colony off of the rock. :)

I have some screen here at the house. I will get that taken care of over the next couple of days. If your going to be around this coming Saturday the 23rd I could come by and pick them up. Just let me know.
    Thanks,
    Michael

Has anyone spoken for the firefish on the list? I love them, and it's on my fish list anyway. Earliest I could come for it is Thursday, if it can be mine :)

We don't return from Lima until 7/24. So we'll have to get together later than that Michael. Molli you're more than welcome to the Firefish but I suspect he won't be catchable till I breakdown the tank. That won't be for several weeks. I'll let you know as the time approaches. In the mean time I'll start trying to catch the Gramma and the Firefish and let you know if I get lucky. :)

PS Michael do you have the plastic 1/4" screen? You don't want to use regular window screen. I think I have some. What are the dimensions of your tank? I'll see if I have enough.

Many thanks to all of you guys!
