I just fed a favia frag i got the other day. There are 9 mouths in it. I fed 7 of them a pellet of the sample pellets we were given at the xmas meet sat. Now for my questions, it took me about 5 mins to feed all 7 heads. Is this fast? I watched a few videos on youtube that were time lapsed and condensed from around 30 mins. This favia ate faster in real time than theirs did with time lapse. Secondly, since they ate them can i assume that the pellets are good for them? Or, is it an eat now and suffer the consequences kind of thing? I now regret feeding them the pellets cause im worried about it but it was just the coolest thing to watch!!!

I feed my LPS corals (favia, acan, brains) pellet from time to time with no harm.

cut the top off a 20oz soda bottle and use it as a feeding dome to keep shrimp and crabs and the current from carring away the food.  Ive never fed pellets but brine, mysis, and coral food a bit and the favia will thank you

I will have to try that bottle idea. I turned off my power heads. Your way sounds better. Thanks
