I have a pretty big chocolate chip star in my tank for about a month now, and so far he hasn't messed with my Kenya tree or my green star polyps, but I was wondering what all corals I can keep in my tank with him, that are also ok to have in a 29 biocube?

The chocolate chip starfish is probably not the best starfish for a reef tank. I have never had one but have read about them a little and they don't live more than about a year or so and have been known to eat soft and hard corals and some anemones. You may get lucky and yours won't eat any corals at all but I would keep a sharp eye on it. Maybe someone else in the club can put there two cents in on this topic.

I would not mix a CC starfish in a reef tank. If it does eat one coral, thats a loss of more than the starfish cost, not counting the life of the coral. If it's a known fact that they eat corals, why even go there?

I wasn't ever really planning on this being a reef tank, and didn't even think I would get into coral when I got it. I added the Kenya tree for a bit of color and movement in my tank full of lazy fish. Someone dumped the star off at pet country a while ago. They asked if I wanted him since I had been looking for a star that my eel wouldn't mess with, and I didn't have a reef tank. However frag fest got me into corals a lot more than I ever thought I would, so I was just curious.

The chocolate chip stars look really cool. I have avoided them because all the research says they aren't reef safe and eat corals. All animals behave differently, but I wouldn't put it my tank just in case.
