my calcium is currently at 390, magnesium at 1440, ph at 8.2 but my alkalinity is at 13.8 kh. I have not been using my kalk lately could that be the problem? I have never had it this high before. Any suggestions on raising my calcium while lowering my alkalinity significantly?

    Thanks,
    Ben

I use kents turbo calcium to boost my calcium levels
I think you'll find if you raise your calcium your alk will lower

personally I don't think your alk at 13.8 will be a problem, usually dosing kalk will work on both your cal. and alk. so if you just want to raise cal. I would try using just a calcium booster like kent turbo cal. it should not effect your alk. and I have found that by just dosing the cal. booster my alk would gradually drop off some. Like SouthernR stated. you could also just use the cal. part of a two part for awhile until it all levels out. but the turbo cal. would work faster.

  4. I have to agree with "Ameno" I don't really see to much of a problem with your alkalinity being 13.8.
