? about Luft Air Pumps

  1. After seeing the great results that Ralph had with his water quality I am installing a ozone system on my 180 gallon tank. I already had a Coralife Ozone Generator that I had never used and got in a DIY air dryer from Bulk Reef Supply yesterday. I plan on running it into one of my dual protein skimmers. I have read that a lot of people seem to use Luft pumps and talk about how quite they are and that they push quite a lot of air but what I have not been able to find out is if they have an air inlet or do they just filter air surrounding the pump like most air pumps? If anyone has used one of the Luft pumps please let me know before I spend money on one.

If you are worried about how you are going to get the air through the air dryer, just run the air line from the air pump to the dryer and then into the ozone generator.
