Haven't seen one down this way, but I haven't been up to Little Rock lately. Here's some good info on their care... http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/inverts/cnidaria/anthozoa/bubbletipanemones.htm
I got a nice rose one at a shop in Hot Springs yesterday. Now I just have to wait until my clowns host it. Taylor
It is odd to me that the price of RBTA's have fluctuated so much over the past several years. Initially, they were upwards of 100$ for small ones and then about 2 years ago the price really dropped - I bought one at NSA for about 35$ and now they have really climbed again. The ones that I see are relatively small - but of couse they grow quickly. We visited a reefer in Fayetteville several months ago for our club meeting and were offered some really nice huge BTA's free - the only catch was that they had to be removed from a really large reef tank and the feet were attached a good foot from the head and all but impossible to get without killing it. Oh Well.
I do believe that is why I will not be putting an anemone in my main display. I will have a secondary display that I can easily tear down to remove/relocate them... if I even get one.
Hold a powerhead directed at the anemone and it will let go in short order...I've removed many of them that way...doesn't hurt them at all....
