Ill post the most recent pic of my picasso trigger and see if anyone knows whats going on with him. I actually bought him sick cause the price was right and i felt sorry for him...im a sucker. So far I have done the instant ocean lifeguard treatment for 5 days and then went to copper and malechite green. Im wonering if this isnt an internal parasite.

is he lethrgic or eating? if hes in qt then i would go with a round of general cure. it contains both prazi and metro so it will take out a wide range of internal bacterial infections and parasites. and it doesnt harm your bb like alot of anti bacterial madication. most the time i have sued this the fish made good recoveries. good luck

6mmedic He looks like he is improving in the current pic on the outside, his fins look clearer. He looks like he is not filling out though and that can be from a secondary internal infection. It probably is most likely bacterial. Call Ralph, he has a supply of Maracyn and Maracyn2 that he got to hjave on hand after we treated his blonde naso. It is very good stuff and well treat gram neg. and pos. bact. It can be used in conjunction with copper and prazi pro. Get some prazi pro also incase it is intestinal worms. It looks like he had odinium, or velvet in the one picture, brooklynella also looks like that but he would have died in a matter of hrs or a few days. The way he looks in the one pic I would guess velvet. Is he still eating good? and just not filling out? How long have you had him?

hes eating great. Ive had him about 2 weeks now and yes hes in QT. I have thrown instant oceans lifeguard, copper, and malechite green with formalin at him and now metronidazole. Im afraid i will kill him with treatment but hes gotta get better before he goes in the tank.

You didn't say if he is looking like the pics show and is clearing up???? Are you dipping him or putting all this stuff in the tank at the same time????

he looks better except for the "pimples" on his side...they seem more pronounced. I did the liefguard treatment for the first 5 days. After that I went to copper and malechite green. I started the metro yesterday. His colors never have been great and that still concerns me along with the pimples. this mornig it looked like a thread of very fine hair hanging off his rectum..not sure if that was a parasite beig passed or worse...
I am adding this to the hospital tank and not dipping him

What is life gaurd???? some kind of water conditioner??? I would quit mixing all these chems in the same tank. Are the pimples in the skin or tufts on the fins??? Are they protruding scales????

Jamie Can't say for sure but that looks like Lymphocytis, which is a virus and it is not life threatning and kinda just goes away on its own in time. Some think water condition has something to do with it but no one knows for sure. It does not spread as far as I know. I think you can search it in the fish desease forum on reel central. It could be fungas but useally that well keep spreading.
