Is there a category for members tank threads with pics of members tanks here on the forum? If I wanted to start a My Tank Thread here... where would be the best place to put it & pics of my tank? If we don't have a sub-category... maybe one could be created... something like this... Reef Chronicles The place to create a thread documenting your very own tank: pics, progress, equipment, etc.! I would love to see pics of everyone's tanks... if this exist in a "collective place" ... maybe I just have not found it yet.
Thanks Joe ! I think creating one might also increase the forums usage, with forum members posting pics of new fish & coral & everyone watching and checking in more to see each others tanks progress and new pics! Also might increase post & questions, as everyone sees each others tanks & ask related questions. Plus tanks thread are also fun, to look back over time and see how our coral and fish has grown.
Anyone else interested in this... tank threads in the forum... where you update tank pics frequently, follow them and provide feed back and replies to pics ??? Do you all use & visit the Gallery - frequently & use it? I just gave it a try... I when I click on "Album Manager" I get the below error... when I click on Album Manager... Get Started First create an album in the Album Manager and then Upload all your reefing pictures. Visit FAQs for tips and help. Error You don't have permission to access this page. I can see the Gallery as a nice place to post pics, but not having the ability to post replies... and chat about the thread... takes away... imo What everyone else think? I would like to see the forum grow & usage increase... I hang out at Reef Sanctuary & there is always about 30+ members logged in & chatting away in our sub-forum red sea owners... Just my opinion... but I think tank thread in a forum... with replies & related chat post / would increase forum use here... Your Thoughts?
i like the idea and i would participate. i also got that error when i tried to load pics. they are suppose to be working that out and i havent tried recently to upload anything so i am not sure.
Chris has been working a lot lately and hasn't spent much time on here. I'll talk with him this evening about this request and problem.
What do you think about putting a link in my signature to another forum? Like a link to My Tank Thread on Reef Sanctuary? I have lots pics there... then if anyone was interest... they could click on the link & others could ignore it... and it would not take up space or slow down anything here... would that be a better idea? on RS we have a very active forum... we all post updates with pics all the time of our tanks, showing all new fish we add & all new coral we add & any new equipment updates & pics of how it was installed... etc... I love looking at new pics just thought others here might enjoy also... forums are more fun (IMO) if you can chat... about the pics posted.... if only to say nice pic - thanks for sharing
