Amber and I are having to put off upgrading to a bigger tank for a while. But we would like to add a tang to our 46. Maybe two. I know they will grow but within the next 18 months or so we will be upgrading to a 125 or larger. THoughts??

I'm no pro at this...for sure. Fairly new actually..But I got a lashing for trying to put 2 in my 75 together :) Didn't listen..and sure enough the hippo got ich shortly after adding him so I listened & took him back. I love tangs too..and for that reason I'm wanting to upgrade to alot bigger so I can have more of them. Hopefully some of these more seasoned folks will respond though..

it really wouldnt be recommended to put a tank in anything other then a 75gl minimum. and then you would need to stick to a smaller variety like the sccpos, yellow, or tomini imo. they dont all grow quick but they are all very active and need the swimming room more then anything. not to mention alot of rock to graze on. that tank isnt big enough to hold one for that period of time. i would stock it with what ever smaller fish you want to have in the upgraded tank for now so they can be comfortable and still move later.
