Sequence Dart Pump

  1. I had an emergency the other day with the clam tank main pump failing after a leak occurred. The original pump was a Blueline which I liked very much over Iwaki and Little Giant as they were cheaper and of the same quality. I did not have the time to order a new pump so I called up Norman (fisher12) and told him about my problem and luckily he had a new Sequence Dart pump that was to be used on his closed loop that had yet to be installed. I purchased it from him, very skeptical given that it's max flow was a whopping 3600 gph, where as my Blueline was rated at 1500. Remember that the clam tank is rather shallow and only has about 75 gallons - sump included. Upon installing the pump - which was a bit smaller than the Blueline and plugging it in I had to feel it to make sure it was running. This pump is virtually silent - it is truly amazing. I was terrified that the back pressure from reducing the flow by more than half would put a strain on the pump. It actually runs at less wattage at lower out puts and the company reports the pump life is extended with lover usage. This pump is about 50 bucks more but the build quality far superior. I am sold on these pumps and highly recommend them.

The dart is an excelent pump! I am running both 180's off a single dart for sump return! I origionaly was using one dart per tank, but had to take one off line since it was producing way to much flow! the sequence 750's are also great pumps that produce just a bit more flow that the darts, I am using one on each 180 for a closed loop.

I love my Dart it is a great pump. I called and talked to MarineDepot before I ordered mine and the person I talked to said when they were trained on the ReeFlo pumps, they learned that with the Dart, you can actually cut off the flow on the output side and the pump will not be damaged or stressed. The Dart is a circulation pump not a pressure rated pump so it is great for closed loops and returns. Not a good pump for skimmers though.
