I puchased an SC302 and installed when I first set up my tank. It has performed amazingly over the last 6 months. A few weeks ago I noticed not much foam production. I took the unit out to do a general cleaning and noticed the pump sounded like it was running rough. Tested a few times in sink and determined something was wrong with it. I contacted SC by email and they sent me a new impeller. In the meantime, I ordered a new replacement pump from Amazon. Got the new pump in, reassembled the skimmer, back into the sump and immediately noticed I had to run on a higher setting to achieve what seemed to be the same level of foam. The original ran between 3-4, now I'm running between 4-5, the results not as good. Something seems to be wrong. I got the new impeller and put in the old pump, did not help the problem. I think the pump itself is out. SC is changing their website and I cannot get in touch with them. I know water conditions can change the way the skimmer works but everything else in the skimmer is just plastic, what else could be wrong with it? Thanks
