I had a big outbreak of hair and other types of algae in my tank a few months ago and long story short after the regular snails wouldn't take care of it, I purchased a sea hare, about 5 inches long, to wipe out my algae problem. I bought her knowing I would need to pass her along to someone else who had more food for her than my tank could produce so I am posting him on the forum. I would be happy to loan her out or if someone wanted her full time, I'd sell her. I say "loan" her because I know how much these guys eat and most of us don't produce enough food to support these crazy eaters full time so you could borrow her and pass her along to another tank owner who needs a "sea cow." They do "too good" of a job at eating everything bad, algae wise.

I am about a week or two from relieving her of her duties and I'd be happy to pimp her out to another tank if you need a good "algae skank." She has been a good hoe and does her job with no complaining or back talk. Don't even need to slap her around, just throw her in the tank and because she is a pro, she takes care of the rest.

Call me or text me at 501-215-7511 for my Sea Hare prostitution services.

What little bit I had in my tank is gone now so I would have to say yes.

I might have to burrow her soon, if I dont get this problem under control soon.

Technically they're only green hair algae eaters... However, I've seen them eat a little bit of everything while trying to get to the green hair.

For a cyano issue you might try dosing chemiclean. It's always helped clear any problem we've had with cyano up in a hurry. Also, you might try adding a little more flow to the areas you notice it being the worst or the areas it tends to start in.

I think I'm ready to pimp her out. My tank is pretty much clean now. Call me if you're ready for her services

Chemipure elite has Iron oxide (rust) in it which I believe removes phosphates, one of the other causes of algae blooms. Regular Chemipure just has nitrate removing properties (carbon), I believe. I use Chemipure Elite and have always had great success.
