My fuge looks an episode of Swamp People! GHA on all four walls, the heater and the dry rock. Interestingly none on the live rock that's in there.

Went through quite a bit of algae In the DT a couple of weeks ago but it is dying out. I have chaeto in the fuge. Nitrate is 5 but there may be a bunch tied up in that algae. Two fish (gramma and N. magnifica), clean up crew and a couple of small zoa's.

I'm doing 25 gallon WC weekly. Should I step that up? Ride it out? Try to clean the fuge? How do you do that without it getting in the DT?

  2. Your Nitrates are at 5ppm? How large is your set-up and how larger is your refuge. BTW, if NO4 is tied up in your macro, it would not register as free NO4 in a your water.
