I have recently ordered base rock, dwarf cerith snails, grape caulerpa, and cheato from them.

They have the best customer service bar none. The rock was phenomenal, tons of holes and very porus. Not bad looking either! John, the owner, had emailed me within 3 hours of placing the order asking what size rock I wanted. Mcmullenmark can vouch for the quality of the product as well.

I ordered 100 snails, and I would say I got closer to 200. After dumping them in the tank, the pile looked like a pile of worms, TONS of life!

The caulerpa and cheato were great as well and they have a bonus when you place an order. You get an extra macro algae for $0.01.

I really can't say enough good things about them, and John is very very quick to respond to your emails and questions. Top notch and 5 stars from me!

    Base Rock from Reefcleaners

Ordered base rock from Reefcleaners. This is a photo of a total of 100 lbs on a 2' x 4' foam board. The small pile of rubble is what was loose in the two 50lb boxes. Very pleased and as Calvin indicated in the first post they have excellent customer service.

I always get my CUC from there. We should try and get them to sponsor the website.

I am currently in the process of ordering or getting an order from them. At the moment I don't recommend using the debit or credit card payment option with them, which they just recently got. There was an error that occurred during my checkout and I got charged twice for base rock and it only shows up once for John, meaning he only received 90.00. It wasn't that I pressed too many times, I pressed once and an error came up saying something was wrong but the order was still completed and it did it 3 times and I ended up getting charged twice. He quickly reversed the order to see if it would solve the problem but it didn't, It only returned 1 order. So 90.00 is lost somewhere in this digital world and the bank says they will track it down. My bank says its probably with the services that charged my bank account and not with the merchant. Otherwise, their customer service is great. He is extra fast to reply especially in this awkward situation. Hes also willing to work with you on what you need. That is rare these days in anything we do.

Customer Service: 5/5 - I actually had a reason to use customer service. lol.

Shipping/Packaging - 5/5 - The box was extra wrapped with packaging tape to counter the rocks tearing it a part.

Product Quality - 5/5 - The rocks were very porous and clean. I'd definitely order more in the future.

Price Comparison - 5/5 - There are only a few that can out compete with his prices but they don't offer much selection or guarantees.

Product Selection - 5/5 - Hes got alot of the stuff he specializes in. He has a few miscellaneous things but reef cleaners is his business.

Overall just avoid the credit/debit checkout thing for now. Otherwise, its a good place.

The double charge issue was also resolved. The service company he uses charged me twice by accident. He received 1 payment and the service actually took 90.00 too. After he cancelled the payment, I got my 90.00 back and the second 90.00 was returned 3-5 business days later after my bank confirmed where it was. Overall it was a good experience.
