What's the consensus on the protein skimmer? In tank, hang on tank, in sump, external? And how much skimmer do you all want? A small demo that you can take home to scale a bigger one for your tank, an 8' monster, something in between?
As it is, the workshop is going to be for an in sump / external recirculating skimmer. If you're creative I think you could even mod it to hang on the back of the tank. It won't have a very large footprint in the sump as skimmers go. When we're assembling them, there will be some flexibility in height, so if you're putting it in under a cabinet you may want to measure to see how much height you have. I'm pretty excited about this project.
