So during one of my many sleepless nights I thought of a kind of fun project I was wanting to do.

I know a few people here make frag plugs from sand and was wondeing on what else could be made with the same principal.  Basically I was thinking about fake rocks that could be made to fit perfectly in the structure I am wanting to build etc...

Any thoughts on if this is possiable?

Its very possible just need to experiment with the shapes, textures, and how porous you want the rock.

Done this many times..  Get some lengths of 2x4's (8' long at lowes $3.00), a hole saw bit the size of the top of the plug you want and a drill bit for the width of the plug base you want.  Drill bit your holes then hit the holes with the hole saw to the desired depth..  Lay the 2x4 on a run of plastic, mix your aragocrete, fill the holes and let em dry for about 24 hours them soak them til the ph drops to your desired level.  Most important part is making sure you dont get your mix too wet.  Too wet and you get solid concret non porous plugs, too dry and they will fall apart when you take them out of the 2x4.  If youre close to Hot Springs Ive got about 45lbs of portland cement left from my rock making, all you have to buy is a bag of aragonite and youre in business. By hole saw I mean a paddle bit, just reread what I wrote and thought I should clarify that.
