Offical Complaint

    So, figured I would put this here as opposed to elsewhere on the forum....

    I work in Conway, so on my lunch I decided to stop in Pet Country... needed dog/cat stuff more than anything, but ended up getting stuff for the tanks... anyway, beside the point...

    I remember when Pierre and his wife were running the show and everyone was always so chipper and quick to be of help... everyone was so polite. Sad to say, I had one of the worst customer service experiences today! I don't know the chick's name or anything, but there was no expression of emotion what-so-ever on that lady's face. The only time she ever spoke with me was to give me my total at checkout. I even stood at the counter for a good min or two waiting on acknowledgement, asking for a price on a coral and then I got half of an eye roll and almost a sigh before she assisted me. I'm not just having a b*tch fit, I promise, LOL... I know we have someone here on the boards that works there, so I'm not trying to step on toes, but it was sad. The atmosphere is NOT at all what it was. =(

    Dustin and I are the two that frequest that area of the store, and tend to be the mains ones back there. If it's ok with you I would like to print off your formal complaint and send it to the owner john and janann. Pet Country thrives on the sole fact of our employees being helpful and knowledgeable and something like this is not acceptable in the least.

    I can't technically speak for Pet Country, but as the salt water person there I would like to solemnly apologize for the less than ideal experience.

    William, Thank you SO much for your response! I honestly haven't been in the store in a while... not since Pierre left, until today. I'm glad to see that Dustin is still there. I actually got there right at noon, but didn't see either of you guys in the back. I will pm you. Like I said, we used to frequent Pet Country a lot and I was so pleased with the service we've always received. I don't want to see that go away!

    Just to kind of second this... I've had the same experience with a younger woman that works there. If I don't see William or Dustin, I leave, ESPECIALLY if I want to ask some questions.

    William,
    I believe you are the person my wife and I dealt with a few months ago when we had a meeting there. We had our little boy with us and bought a coral beauty and a goldfish. Our experience was wonderful. That is the only time we have been in the store due to the fact we live about 4 hours away. Sadly the coral beauty perished.

    My husband and I had a similar experience last week, we got to the store right at opening time on Tuesday. Noone spoke or greeted us as in the past, we too have not been in the store in a while. The other compliant we had was the wave tank that was always so gorgeous, and one of the reasons we liked going in the store, looked like crap!! They didnt have a lot to chose from that day either, which the woman that finally waited on us said they had some stuff on order. I know that we were both so disappointed, it used to be our favorite store to frequent not only for the tanks and selection but also for the customer service ....very disappointed!

    The wave tank looked like "crap" becausse on wednesday we clean it so on Tuesday it is a bit nasty, as for not having anything in stock, we are moving tanks around and adding a few tanks so we haven't done a big order in a few weeks to make the move easier. I'm sorry you had so many complaints about the salt water department that are out of the staffs control.

    Sorry if I stepped on anyones toes ...this was not my intention at all just wanted to voice my opinion on some things.  I have always loved this store and will continue to shop there ...atmosphere is just a little different than I remember.

    i am a regular to this store and have been for a long time and i have never had that kinde of treat ment i always get agnolodged when i come in and get help with what ever i need and i will continue to be a loyal customer to the store

    Same here. Whoever is up front always says hi. I will say if you want help with the saltwater part of the store talk to Dustin or Will, they pretty much take care of that part of the store

    Not saying the other staff doesn't know what they are doing, but Dustin and Will are the most knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to fish. John is always friendly and helpful as well.

    I haven't had a bad expreience yet, but to those who have, give it another shot on a day that Dustin or Will are working and you won't be disappointed.
