There is no doubt about that. But on the bright side, it's not as bad as some other obsessions.

You sure have the "bells and whistles" in place. Hope you haven't stocked too heavy too soon. Just stay on top of it for a while and the best of luck to you.

All the parameters have stayed in check and have done nothing but improve since I have started this thing. I figure as long as I stay on top of the water changes and continue to test regularly I can pull it out of the new stage fairly fast. Although I added a few pieces that were really new to this tank, a LOT of stuff came strait out of my fuge on my 75. This thing is crawling with critters that would have taken months to get if it were a typical new set up. I am already seeing tunnels in the sand line and the makings of coraline. I really need something that will eat copapods. There are a billion of them in this thing. The glass has a haze to it b/c at any given time there are hundreds crawling on it.

A sixline wrasse would be a good addition for you. It will not only eat the pods, but will take care of some of the pests you will eventually get.

JMO if you get a scooter blenny try to get one that will eat frozen food as they go through pod very fast in a small tank. Years ago with one of my first tanks we bought one at Petco the paper they had on them said they would eat flake food he did not I did get him to eat brine shrimp but he only lasted a year or so and even with the brine shrimp he did not have enuff to eat in a 29gal with 20 sump-fudge.

More or less its b/c they were fairly easy to come by. It gives me a good selection when its time to start weeding them out. Once they start to fill out and I see how they color up and grow I will start to pick and chose the keepers of the bunch, the others will be traded most likely. Once this tank grows up I am sure there will only be a few out of this whole bunch that make it to the final product. I already have my eyes on other pieces. Consider these as "starter" corals for the tank...

Cindy, Mann is going for the FULL effect...and he's quite impatient I must say! Hopefully we'll end up with several really nice pieces and can either donate or trade the others... They really are good pieces with a lot of potential. :) Just waiting on a subtle pop of color!

  10. Try putting your pic in Paint (all PC's have this) & select Image, Stretch/Skew , try 30% & then upload it, under User Control Panel , Profile, Edit Avatar

He is evil from time to time... he likes to pick on the little guy. My Sohal is NOT the only meanie in the tank!
And, yes, in 2 weeks... you've exceeded your allowance for the month already! LOL

Colors are really coming along. The greens, purples and the pinks that are coming out are spectacular. I never thought they would start to do it this fast. I have been dosing Brightwell Bio-Fuel every day, Aqua Vitro's Fuel two times a week, and regular water changes. I am happy with the results so far. I wish the camera would capture the color that you can see with your eyes but its not so good at it. Two more weeks or so and we are going to have almost half of them with color!...I am so happy!
