    Hiya,

Have a co-worker that has a fish/reef tank, 75 gallon I believe, has cromis, a coral beauty, an arrow crab, a coral banded shrimp and probably a few other fish. For the last couple months, every fish she has put in there has died except these. She did have an outbreak of ick 4 months ago and finally got the nerve to add a naso tang. The fish had been in the store for few weeks, looked good, (I saw it personally) and was eating. If my tank had been big enough, I would have put it in my tank. She's lost clowns, tangs and fox faces to name a few.

When she the fish in the tank last night it was doing great. When she got home this evening it was up under a rock, dark colored with large pale spots on him. Not ick.looked like color loss from stress. Water paramiters are all good. Coral banded shrimp is acting like it's lunch. She got it to swim a little bit, but it then lays down on it's side again.

There wasn't a lot of movement to her water surface so I had her increase this. What else could be wrong. She said it ate this morning. Should I have her turn the lights out too?

Sounds to me like the tang is stressed. How big is it? What fish are still in the tank right now? How long was the aclimation? I find that Naso tangs don't like being moved much or sudden changes.

That's kinda what I thought. All I can remember is she's got is some cromis, a coral beauty. Nothing aggressive. As for Acclimation, not sure I'll have to check. She bought a linka and I advised her to take several hours with it, so hopefully she did the same with the naso.

Depending on size of course, A naso with only 4 ft of swimming room would be my first guess.

That's the first thing I thought of but didn't want to day anything.

    Hiya,

The tang was only about 3-4 inches. Unfortunately, she texted me and the little one didn't make it. Still, the main problem, why can't she seem to add any fish to her tank? Her water paramiters are good and the tank is in no way over crowed. Tank is a 75 gallon, so 4" would be about right.
