OK, So right now I have 2 39watt t5's on my 46bow and was planning on adding two more. Now I really liked the look of bigman's tank with the halide shimmer. Arron has a 2x150MH sunpod for sale with 3 month old bulbs I'm looking at. My thought was if I get them, to put the whole unit in my hood and cut airholes in the ends of the hood so the sunpod could still pull air through, would this work? Secondly, I kinda like the choice in bulbs of the t5...plus the low heat. And I know now that you can keep just about anything under t5's if you place it right in your tank. ON a 46 bow is there another way to get the cool shimmer lines cause that is all I'm really interested in (from what the halide offers that my T5's don't). I would like to do it cheaper than $150 with less heat and retain my bulb selection. Chime in anytime...........
