I've got a geo metro lol, it wouldn't be quite the same as a ups truck. Do you have access to a vehicle to practice in?
Nah. I have a brother with a 5.0 stang but that's his baby and don't want to mess with it. Raffle grabber
Re: Re: Manual transmission I just need to learn doesn't really matter if its a truck or car. The test consists of starting on hills, proper down shifts so the truck doesn't stall, and something else can't remember. Raffle grabber
You need someone with an old jeep or a zook.... Something that you have to wind up a little to take off.. If I had a standard I would show ya how but.... I grew up driving them... Once you get it down there is nothing to it but it takes practice and a good ear.
I have driven the small ones and the largest with the fragged steering. Though I doubt they have manual transmission trucks anymore. Last I checked ill check again. Raffle grabber
I learned to drive when I was 15 on an OLD orange jeep. My grandfather bought it as a learning experience for me. Had to rebuild everything then had to learn to drive manual on one of the earliest jeeps they made. After a few weeks you really get the hang of it. If you can't find anyone I can make a point to swing by fordyce one day and pick it up so you can learn. Its the perfect manual to learn to drive on, because its already been to hell and back a few times : )
