HI! Im Andy and im new to this forum and im looking for information on the JBJ nano cube 28g CF-quad, that I will be purchasing in 2 weeks. I need to know what the highest ouput I can buy for one is, beside the HQI option. I know it comes stock with a 105 watt 10,000°K/7,100°K compact fluorescent lighting setup.
You can go with LEDs if you are willing to do a little engineering, they could give you as much as HQI, without the heat.
I would suggest the 24 instead of the 28 due to the set up in the back. I have a 24 and a 12 nano your welcome to look at before you buy. JBJ makes an LED hood but they go for around 400 just for the hood. I have just the compacts on mine and can grow about anything. Let me know if you have questions

Yeah I saw the LED setup, looks pretty fancy . thanks for looking one up for me, when I get more money I will seriously debate it. One more question would I be able to pull off growing acros, monties, and birds nest if I placed them at the top?
I grew birds nest and monti's in mine right at the top. I did not have any luck with acros. Good luck with your new tank, if your not a member of RRMAS you should join, the $25 is well spent.
