I really could use some help.

I really, really debated whether to post this. A week ago my carport was robbed and almost all my reefkeeping equipment was taken (along with boxes of other stuff that I was donating to our local charity). I am heartbroken. They didn't come in the house (thank goodness) so my empty 70 gal. tank and my box of salt and a few small things were left, but that's it. This is the really crummy part. I have been on disability for some time now and have been trying to save up enough to buy a little at a time for the last year and a half. I love the hobby and wanted to get back into it since I am home all the time and it would give me something to get my mind off day-to-day things.

This is what I was wondering. I have been planning on attending the Reef Fest this Sat. and was wondering if anyone might have some things that they would like to get rid of. It really doesn't have to look good, just function. I'm good at repairing things so if it can be fixed I would be happy to do that as well. I could use some type of dry rock also if you have some. I didn't have any yet so that wasn't taken.

This is probably my last shot at setting up a tank because I just couldn't go through this again.

Anyway I hope you don't think negative of me for asking. I really am a prideful person and am usually the one trying to help, but this time I just can't. And if no-one has anything I will still be grateful to have met you at the meet!

Thank you and God Bless and I'll see you at the Reef Fest. :)

Can you give us an idea of what you need/have? is this for the 70 gallon? I may have a return pump and a hang on back filter.

My pump was taken and yes It's for my 70 gal. The return pump and filter would be great. I have an air pump, tubing, valves, little things and some plumbing parts. Also, my sump was safe so I have that. They did take my 48" light fixture but I would never expect somebody to have a replacement light. And like I said above, if anyone has some dry rock they would like to get rid of that would be great as well. I have always donated my stuff that I upgraded or no longer used so I thought I would give it a try this once. I really do not like to bother anyone but I thought if you were going to throw out or donate something for once I could use some help.

    Thanks and God Bless!

Thom I don't know how I didn't see this earlier. I have some rock for you if you still need some. I may have a few odds and ends laying around too. Hit me up before the next meeting to remind me.
