I have a 10g tank that I want to set next to my 20g on a stand. I would like to get the 10 drilled so it can be plumbed to overflow into the 20 and pump water from the 20 to the 10. I would like to basically copy setup described on the Help with DIY Refugium post. I am a beginning reefer and need assistance. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a sump under the 20? If so I could build you an overflow that could drain into the sump. Be sure the 10 is not tempered glass or you will shatter it.

I do not have a sump under the tank. I would be open to one, but it would have to have a closed top because I have a small dog and I would not want her to get into the water.

I also read the advice from Blake about the 10 gal and purchased a tank that says all glass. I am pretty sure I got the one he mentioned.

Take the tank and get your money back and buy an inexpensive tub or plastic storage container from walmart, much easeier to do.
