How "in" to your tank is your spouse/family?

I really had to do a lot of convincing to get my wife on board with starting in the hobby. She would not have objected but I wanted more than her just being ok with it.

Since the tank is up and running the change is remarkable. At this moment she is standing in front of the tank with her cell phone trying to take picture of my Yellow Fin Flasher Wrasse "flashing". She just got through taking pictures of my zoa frags and my plate coral. She gets upset if I feed the fish when she isn't there. She has named all of the fish, except the clowns in QT named by my grand daughter. Somehow Frank doesn't seem very fitting for a flasher wrasse but she did nail the firefish with Alfalfa.

If people actually get to see a well maintained tank (not that mine is at this point) they are mesmerized. It adds to the fun IMO.

    How interested is your family?

My girlfriend pets my fish all the time, and when we decided to move I brought up selling the 200 and she flipped and put her foot down instantly. Part of the time I think she is more addicted than I am. She now has a 30 gallon of her own.

That's pretty cool William, I can see my wife wanting to do a tank one day. Maybe when my DT is stocked we can replace one of the QT's with a small tank.

Off topic but there seems to be a lot of members in the Conway area. I live out by the soccer complex and would love to make the Conway tour of tanks for ideas and inspiration!

Any time man, I live behind the large post office off hark rider. My tanks aren't in the best of conditions since I've been per-occupied with moving but I still think they are pretty.

Well I'm in the process of setting up my system again after the move, but I would like to talk and visit whenever you can. I live close to you in Chapel Creek. Just give me a call sometime. 501-329-6964 Norman

I would even host a get together for all the Conway area people if this is something anyone would be interested in.

That sounds great Norman! Let me know if you need any grunt work help. I think the best way to learn is to do.

    Hiya,

My husband likes to look at it and doesn't object to me buying stuff for it.
