Hey Everyone! Newbie just moved to Chidester, AR, close to Camden, AR. Was recommend to this site by a guy I met in the Petco in Hot Springs, AR. Very excited to be in the state, and working on my first salt water aquarium. I have had freshwater planted aquariums for about 7 years, and have decided to make the switch to saltwater reef. Before I moved here from Alabama I had started the process with my 55 gallon aquarium with 30 gallon sump. All I had was argonite sand and about 100 lbs of RealReef rock cycling in the aquarium. When we decided to move I broke everything down and put the sand and rock into brute trash can with powerheads and it has been that way for about 2 months. I purchased a 125 gallon and stand before I moved and drilled the tank myself in preparation for a beananimal overflow (still have to attach the bulkheads and the overflow box). So as you can tell I am still in the beginning stages of being prepared. I have a spot in the new house that is perfect for the tank, with a room behind that I can cut through the wall to access and make into an equipment room, which will probably also hold my 55 gallon tank as the sump for the 125. I plan to make the 30 gallon into my quarantine tank. I also have several ~40 gallon totes that I hope to use as ATO/Water change tanks, along with the brute trash can i have the rocks in now. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! I am also curious about what the best LFS's would be to me that you would recommend, I don't have a problem with ordering livestock, but I would rather support a local business. Sounds like an exciting build! Don't be afraid to ask questions. I'm like Michael, learned a lot from these guys. Hopefully someone from further south than me can chime on on a LFS. I know a few to recommend but none are near you. Welcome to Razorback Reef!
