what kind of water are you using? you could also try to increase your magnesium and reduce lighting to see if it that helps

How old are your lights? Also how much are you feeding?

When dealing with this problem, to me there has always been one true solution.  Starve it.  Simply put, if there is no nitrates or phosphates in your tank it would starve and die off.  I would get control of those nutrients.  I bet you have fat fish.  Running a GFO reactor could help control phosphates and a nitrate reactor will take care of nitrates.  I assume that you already run a refugium.  That would help as well.  Anyway, while you have it manual removal gets rid of it the best as in my experience most livestock won't touch the stuff.

How long are you running your lights? Reducing your light cycle to a few hours an evening will also help starve the algae out.

Old lights, too long of a photo period, over feeding, dead spots in flow, and over stocking are all factors that will cause a bloom of algae. Check these off and you should find the problem. Fix it and you will be happy.
