Mixing my fist batch of fritz for a water change tomorrow. Looking forward to trying it out!

The only thing I've found that I don't necessarily love is the amount of dust left in the container and the tank after mixing. It can mix in my can for days and there will be a white residue on the inside as well as the power head is coated. The inside of my 20 gallon is also coated with this fine powder.

Does this happen to anyone else?

it happens with any salt, if you read the directions to Fritz you are only supposed to mix it for a very short time before use or storage. I mix it up for about 5 minutes max most of the time because I mix it in 5g buckets

I've used instant ocean and reef crystals and never had that happen so that was new for me ...

I wonder if I'm getting some precipitation in the can because the garage is warmer than I keep my tank. This is honestly the first time I've heard people say NOT to mix and aerate the water for a long time, like at least 24 hours, before using ... I actually never did that before now. I always just mixed up a bucket a few minutes before using it and never had a problem with it fully dissolving or leaving residue. That was with IORC though. I switched to Fritz about the same time I got the cans set up.
