These bits last a lot longer than I have seen reported. I think too many people burn them up by using too much force and not enough rinsing during cutting. I use a stead stream of cool water the entire time i'm cutting. The pool method is useless to me, as you end up with a puddle with all the dust and particles you are removing still there and it heats up very quickly. And yep, I'm one of the Okies, it's about 4.5hrs to NSA from where I am.
