  1. I am doing a Cat Shark Tank. I am needing suggestions on fellow residents. It is a FOWLR with SPS capability. Thanks in advance.

The only suggeestion I would make is use a round tank if possible or at least make sure all the corners are blocked with live rock to prevent the sharks from getting pinned in the corners. I have had them have problems getting out of a corner. If you want a top view only consider a small kids plastic pool or even one of the prefab ponds they sell at places like Lowes. May not be the best looking, but functional.

  3. The tank is already set up and cycled. It is an Oceanic. I am looking for fellow inhabitants.

  4. I know that several years ago when I was volunteering at a local fish store a custormer called back after purchasing a large wolf eel to go in with a shark and 2 seconds after the eel went in the tank the shark bit him in half. I can only imagine that it was impressive and depressing at the same time. Impressive to see the action and depressing at the price it cost to see it. Good luck.

Your consideration to possibly house SPS with the shark is probably not wise unless you have HUGE skimming/nutrient export/waterchange capabilities. No matter how large or small the shark they are heavy eaters. Nutrient and left over food will be your problems in that case.

Do remember that most sharks prefer lower light.

I am just give my 2 cents, not telling you what to do.
