Apparently your at greater risk of cancer if you use manufactured charcoal verses real wood. Has anybody heard this? My wife told me this the other day. Guess its a good thing I have switched to all wood now.

I don't know about that. All grilling (at least with meat) is supposed to make it more carcinogenic.

you're also at a greater risk for cancer by working in an enviroment that uses fluorescent lighting ..... im sure everyone can make somthing a risk of cancer.

Yeah there's always somebody trying to take the fun out of something. I love to grill and smoke meat I guess I'm at high risk for sure.

    Heard it ages ago, yes....

Let me tell you this though... if you are going to get cancer, then you are going to get cancer... no avoiding it.  There are carcinogens everywhere.  Now, not saying that I condone smoking or any of the sort..... but, just saying do not go out of your way to avoid things because of the fear of getting cancer.

I've been down the road....... homeopathic, ate all organic... did it all... got it.  done.

    so, grill on!  :)
