  2. Adam - I think one very important element to keeping Tangs healthy is related to what we feed them.

The below post has some great links to advise on what to feed our marine fish & in particular grazing fish like tangs.

Wlyon a pwdr blue is different then a blue tang [hippo]

Adam a pwdr blue is a hard fish to keep, especially in the sense of water quality and tank size. It needs to be kept in a well established aged tank of a size big enough for it to roam as these guys are consintently on the move grazing. How old is your tank and what size and what size is the fish???? How long have you had him? They are very prone to ich and the least little thing that stresses them, they well have it. Feed him mainly veggies, Baby organic spinish leaves on a clip, the tender part of romaine lettuce leaf, nori and formula two flake food which well also have the protein they do also need. Also Hykari frozen spiralina fed brine and only use Hykari as the others are pretty much junk in the way they feed and process the brine.
Another thing is these are very very territorial and should be one of the last fish added in the tank unless you want the new additions hammered on pretty hard.
