It's funny you got on that subject a friend of mine is doing a research study this summer on the alligator gar. They are supposedly becoming endangered in arkansas He said the ones here in arkansas are different than the ones in texas and surrounding states

I believe that is true I don't see as many or catch as many as I used to I see lots of carcasses on the bank from fisherman who think gar are evil fish Hell bent on scaring fish away which isn't true.

His name is Kane. He is an environmental science major at UCA. The research study is being funded by the Game and Fish Commission.

he hasn't really given a lot of details, just made me jealous cuz he gets to go fishing all summer and get paid for it!
