What is the best all around to feed your corals. I target feed my brain, my acans, and my duncans...but what about the rest? What is a good all around for SPS, LPS, and softies? Coral frenzy, phytoplex, zooplex, marine snow? What does everybody feed when they just feed "the tank"?
I feed everything I have on hand. I make my own mixture up and freeze it in ice trays. I feed reef Chili, Coral Frenzy and add a different vitiman supplement such as vitality or Marine-C as a general feed. LPS like Scolys, Duncans, Acans, and some Brains I feed Formula Two small pellets along with PE Mycid Shrimp or chopped Silversides. I think variety is necessary to good growth and development. We pay high prices for these fish and corals, so don't scrimp on the food.
I agree with Norman. I feed a variety of food and alternate often. I have used Marine Snow, frozen SF Coral Food Mix, Hikari Rotifers, mysis and brine shrimp and supplement Seachem's AquaVitro line Fuel. I am really seeing good growth from my acans, duncan, and frogspawn. I purchased a 5 head Acan frag from Norman in September that now has 14 heads with really great color.
Wanted to share a couple really good post related to feeding my fish, I do target feed my coral, but most of time they feed from me feeding the fish, using these tips in the below post. http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/fis ... ition.html http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/fis ... foods.html http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/fis ... ation.html
